Nuclear Awareness in Higher Education

Title

Nuclear Awareness in Higher Education

Description

With nuclear threats becoming more common, with more countries building arsenals, awareness caused by nuclear weapons is rarely seen at an academic level. Through analyzing colleges and universities, online resources and course catalogs show little to no departments or programs regarding nuclear awareness on a higher level of education. Nuclear awareness can be described as a developed understanding of nuclear energy and the societal effects, including effects on the human body. The purpose of this research is to discover how frequently nuclear awareness is taught on a higher level of education and will employ the methodology of sampling thirty colleges or universities within a sixty-mile radius of Wilmington college and see if any of the schools have nuclear awareness programs or courses that are like Wilmington Colleges PRC. This research sets up projects in the future to explore higher education in ways that can potentially lead to global change.
