How does Amount of sleep Affect College Athletes

Description

Allowing your heart to rest and your cells to repair helps your
body recover after physical activity, sleep also helps
cardiovascular health. For athletes sleep is even more
important, mentally sleep helps athletes form memories and
improve performance in the future. We are looking at the
relationship between college athletes and the amount of sleep
they get. We conducted a survey and sent it to over 400 athletes
at Wilmington college and got 93 responses. We asked gender,
class year, what sport they participate in and how much sleep
they get which ranged from 1 to 13 hours going up in half
hours. We found that most athletes claim to sleep 7 hours.
